The Pascua Yaqui Police Department and Pascua Pueblo Fire Department are currently conducting swift water rescues for vehicles caught in low water crossings.
The Pascua Police Department is requesting that all residents stay home and avoid driving at this time.
NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS!
- 6 inches of fast-moving water can knock over and carry away an adult.
- 12 inches of fast-moving water can carry away a small car.
- 18-24 inches of fast-moving water can carry away most large SUVs, vans and trucks.
- TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN!
