On Sunday, October 12, 2025, at approximately 2:21am, Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of S Pierce on a physical fight, that turned into a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a male on the ground near a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He waw transported to an area hospital in life threatening condition. While on scene, officers learned that two women had been arguing all evening, and eventually it became physical. One woman had a knife and as the women were wrestling over the knife, one of them bit a portion of the others ear off. This resulted in the men, who were attending this gathering with these two women, to begin fighting. One of the men had a gun and as these two wrestled over the gun, it went off, striking one man. Esperanza Castillo, female, 05/14/1994, was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Family Violence and booked into the Randall County Jail. CSI and Detectives from CID were called to the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
