Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the female suspect pictured below in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
At approximately 7:15 p.m., Police responded to Family Dollar, located at 62 Broadway, on a call that the suspect, who was questioned by store security about shoplifting, became irate and threw items at a female cashier and slapped a male security guard before fleeing, heading southbound on Broadway.
The woman is described as having a dark brown complexion and medium build. She was wearing a black zippered sweater, black pants, and a red head bonnet.
