Bomb Threat at Archie Williams High School – Arrest Made

San Anselmo, CA –October 16, 2025:

Central Marin Police Authority has arrested a 17-year-old male resident of Butterfield Road in San Anselmo in connection with a false bomb threat made at Archie Williams High School.

At approximately 9:00 a.m on August 27, 2025, officers from the Central Marin Police Authority responded to a report of a bomb threat at the high school, with support from the Ross Valley Fire Department, Marin County Sheriff’s Office, and the California Highway Patrol.

Working in close coordination with the Tamalpais Union High School District, school officials immediately implemented established safety protocols, initiating a full evacuation of the campus. Classes were canceled for the remainder of the day, and parents were notified through the school’s communication channels.

A complete search of the school building and surrounding grounds was conducted. No explosive devices or suspicious materials were located.

Following a thorough investigation, officers and detectives obtained search warrants, identified a suspect, and arrested a juvenile male student believed to be responsible for the false report. The 17-year-old was booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall and charged with making a false bomb threat. Due to the individual’s age, no further identifying information will be released.

The Central Marin Police Authority takes all threat-related incidents seriously. We are committed to the safety of our schools and community and will continue to dedicate the necessary resources to fully investigate such events.
