Watch Commander’s Night Report - October 16, 2025

1. Impersonating an Officer Arrest (1908) West Lane and Alpine Road, Civic District

The female victim, 36, was driving in the listed area when the suspect pulled next to her with a strobing red and blue light, identified himself as a police officer, and told the victim to pull over. The victim complied, but upon realizing the suspect was not a police officer, she began recording him on her cell phone. The suspect fled, but officers later located and arrested him without incident. ARRESTED: Samuel Jacob, 60, for impersonating a police officer and attempted false imprisonment.

2. Robbery (1917) 600 Block of North Wilson Way, Park District 

The male victims, 24 and 30, were working at an area business when they confronted the suspects, who were shoplifting. One suspect rammed the victims with the other suspect's wheelchair, and the suspects fled with the merchandise. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined medical attention. SUSPECTS: A Black male adult and a White or Black female adult.

3. Train Versus Pedestrian (1949) Airport Way and Taylor Street, Park District

Officers responded to the listed area to assist BNSF on a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a train. A male, 64, was found to have been struck by a train while lying on the tracks. Medical personnel responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene. 

4. Pursuit Arrest (2315) 400 Block of Spring River Circle, Valley Oak District

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop on an occupied stolen vehicle. The driver failed to yield and led officers on a short pursuit. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into the front yard of a residence. The suspect attempted to hide from officers, and force was required to take him into custody. The suspect was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. ARRESTED: A 14-year-old male juvenile for auto theft, resisting arrest, and traffic charges.
