Attend Harvest Festival this Saturday, Oct. 18; Sign up for winter recreation
REMINDER: Hoboken Harvest Festival is tomorrow, Oct. 18
The City & the Hoboken Business Alliance (HBA) will host the annual Harvest Festival tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 18, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Pier A Park and the South Waterfront Walkway.
This free, family-friendly event is a Hoboken fall tradition, offering an afternoon of festive activities, live entertainment, local food, and craft vendors.
Children can enjoy bounce houses, a trackless train, pumpkin decorating, face painting, balloon art, and a special visit from the dinosaurs of Dinosaurs Arise.
The festival will also feature a variety of local vendors, crafters, artisans, and food from local eateries. Live music will include performances by the Demolition String Band and others. A beer garden will also be available for attendees ages 21 and over.

Sign up for winter recreation
The Hoboken Division of Recreation will open registration for its winter youth programs on Friday, Oct. 24, at 12 p.m. This season’s programs include instructional basketball for children in Kindergarten through Second grade, Hawks Special Needs Basketball, competitive basketball for children in Third through Eighth Grade, and wrestling for children between Kindergarten and Eighth Gade
Please note, instructional basketball will be offered in two sessions. Children may only register for one session. Registration for the second session will open on Dec. 1, at 12 p.m.
Registration for all programs are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is scheduled to close on Friday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m. or once a program is filled, whichever comes first. Residents are encouraged to sign up early.
Programs are free for those who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Program schedules will be announced following the close of registration.
