Starting Monday, October 20, crews will be conducting utility location testing along a section of Diablo Road as the Town prepares for an upcoming improvement project. Work will take place Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with one-way traffic controls in place between Fairway Drive and about 400 feet west of Avenida Nueva.
Drivers should expect periodic delays for at least four days and are encouraged to plan extra travel time or use alternate routes when possible. Flaggers and signs will guide motorists safely through the area, and work hours are scheduled to avoid peak commute times.
This potholing work is part of early preparation for the Diablo Road Pedestrian Trail and Drainage Improvements Project (CIP No. C-055), which will extend the paved multi-use trail along Diablo Road to improve pedestrian and cyclist access toward Mount Diablo State Park.
