Special Weather Statement until 01:30PM

At 101 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Greenfield to near Carthage to 7 miles north of Seneca. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Joplin, Carthage, Webb City, Stockton Lake, Carl Junction, Lamar, Baxter Springs, Galena, Oronogo, Granby, Carterville, Duquesne, Ash Grove, Greenfield, Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Lockwood, Jasper, Diamond, and Golden City. This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 0 and 40.
