On November 16th, 2024, 1:20 a.m., police stopped a vehicle in the Floraville Road due to the registered owner wanted on a St. Clair County warrant for Violation of a Stalking/No Contact Order. Upon an investigation, it was found that the driver was in possession of a suspected controlled substance. Upon an investigation which involved the submission of the evidence to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab, the report was forwarded to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges. On October 13th the state’s attorney’s office charged the defendant, James M. McCormack age 41 of Millstadt, with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (amphetamine); A Class 4 Criminal Felony. On Friday, October 17th, McCormack was taken into custody, on Lake Audrey Lane, by Millstadt Officers.
