INCIDENT: Off-Road Motorcycle Crash
LOCATION: Kiowa Rd / Gorham Rd Apple Valley, CA
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, at approximately 4:48 PM, deputies from the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station, personnel from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District, and American Medical Response responded to an off-road motorcycle crash on Kiowa Road north of Mayan Road in the Town of Apple Valley. Deputies determined Victor Godinez, a 31-year-old resident of Victorville, was riding a Yamaha off-road motorcycle north in the desert area east of Kiowa Road when he collided with one of his riding partners. The collision caused him to lose control and veer into an Edison Pole.
Godinez sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigative Team (M.A.I.T) responded and are investigating the crash. Currently, drugs and alcohol do not to appear to be a factor in the crash. Kiowa Road between Mayan Road and Poppy Road were closed for approximately two hours while investigators processed the scene for evidence.
