INCIDENT: PC 29800(a)(1) – Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 30305(a)(1) – Felon in Possession of Ammunition, PC 24610 – Possession of Undetectable Firearm
LOCATION: 14900 Block of San Bernardino Avenue, Fontana
VICTIM: State of California
SUSPECT: Edgar Arriegamendiola, 37- year-old Hispanic male resident of Fontana
SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 18, 2025, a concerned citizen observed and reported a Hispanic male adult had a firearm concealed in his waistband and was walking into Danny’s Liquor and Market, located in the 14900 block of San Bernardino Avenue.
Fontana Station Deputies A. Valdez and C. Padilla arrived on scene and contacted Edgar Arriegamendiola, who matched the description given by the citizen, while inside the market. Arriegamendiola was found to have a firearm with an obliterated serial number, concealed in his waistband. Upon investigation, it was determined Arriegamendiola was a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Arriegamendiola’s vehicle was found in the parking lot of the incident location and a subsequent search of his vehicle resulted in deputies finding a security vest, security badge, replica firearm BB gun, and live ammunition.
Arriegamendiola was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center, without incident. Arriegamendiola is known to brandish a firearm and his photo is being released.
