Drop off unneeded prescriptions at four Hoboken locations during National Rx Take Back Day this Saturday
On Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Hoboken Police Department will participate in the National Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Take Back Day.
National Take Back Day provides residents with a safe, convenient, and anonymous way to dispose of unneeded or expired prescription drugs, which can often become a gateway to addiction.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, residents can drop off old, expired, unneeded, and unwanted tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs, no questions asked, in the lobby area of the following locations:
- Hoboken Police Department Headquarters, 106 Hudson St.
- Adams Gardens, 220 Adams St.
- Monroe Gardens, 221 Jackson St.
- Fox Hill Gardens, 311 13th St.
E-cigarette and vaping devices will also be collected, but only if the batteries have been removed. If the battery cannot be removed, consumers can check with large electronic chain stores who may accept the device for proper disposal.
