The City of Petaluma will begin applying a High Volume Slurry Seal to streets in your neighborhood in the coming weeks as part of our ongoing pavement preservation program. This process involves placing a thin protective layer over the asphalt to extend roadway life and improve surface quality. Work will include road preparation, striping removal, slurry seal application, and restriping. The project will be completed by Dryco Construction, Inc.

What to Expect:
Road closures will be required during sealing, with limited driveway access. Please plan ahead and park on nearby streets not scheduled for work that day. Sidewalks will remain open for walking access. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and “No Parking” signs will be posted at least 72 hours in advance.

How to Prepare:

• Turn off sprinklers the day before, day of, and day after work.

• Avoid driving, walking, or biking on the street until it has fully dried (approximately 4 hours).

• Place garbage carts out early; collection will continue as scheduled.

• Emergency vehicles will always have access.
