Crime Bulletin Covering the Week of October 13-19, 2025

When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.

Robberies

There were four robberies during the past week.

On Monday, 10-13-25, at approximately 11:00 a.m., on the 400 block of Higate Drive, a suspect exited a blue Toyota RAV4 and knocked on the victim’s door. The victim opened the door, and the suspect, described as a White female adult approximately 22 to 27 years old, wearing a dress with flowers, walked inside. The victim stated that the suspect handed her a red envelope and began to place a necklace over her head. The victim started screaming, which caused the suspect to leave quickly. The victim then realized that the suspect had taken both of her gold necklaces. The vehicle was driven by a suspect described as a medium-complexioned male with a beard, wearing a dark hat with a light-colored patch in the middle and a light-colored top. There was also a passenger in the vehicle, described as a heavyset female with light curly hair, wearing a brown top. This investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, 10-13-25, at approximately 5:32 p.m., officers responded to H&M at the Serramonte Center on a report of a possible theft. A loss prevention officer stated that three suspects entered the store, and two suspects exited with jackets in their possession. During an altercation, the loss prevention officer was punched in the face by one of the suspects. The suspects left in a vehicle, which was later located with two of the suspects inside. One suspect was released, and the suspect who punched the loss prevention officer, a 21-year-old San Francisco resident, was arrested and booked into jail for robbery and an outstanding warrant.

On Tuesday, 10-14-25, at approximately 9:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to Smart & Final on Mission Street on a report of an assault. A store employee stated that the suspect entered the store and concealed merchandise in a green suitcase. The employee told the suspect to return the items, and the suspect then allowed the employee to take the suitcase. As they walked toward the front of the store, items fell out of the suitcase, and the suspect began placing them into his jacket. The employee brought the suitcase to the front of the store and began going through it to collect the items taken. As the employee attempted to go through the suitcase, the suspect grabbed the suitcase and began walking out of the store. The employee grabbed onto the suitcase and followed the suspect to the parking lot. During a struggle over the suitcase, the suspect took a metal pipe and struck the employee three times, causing injury. The suspect was described as a light-complexioned Black or Hispanic male in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall, with facial hair, wearing a black jacket, a black sweatshirt, and black pants. This investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday, 10-18-25, at approximately 6:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Sullivan Avenue on a report of a physical altercation. The victim stated he was traveling southbound on Sullivan Avenue when he was suddenly approached from behind by an unknown suspect. The suspect bear-hugged the victim, lifted him off the ground, and threw him onto the pavement. The suspect also struck the victim several times and kicked him once in the head. The suspect then took the victim’s electric scooter, cell phone, and bags. A sergeant checking the area located the suspect. After the suspect was positively identified by a witness and the victim, the suspect, a 22-year-old San Francisco resident, was arrested and booked into jail for robbery.

Nextdoor.com

Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try!  www.nextdoor.com
