With land management agencies reporting fine fuels such as leaf litter and dead brush still are very dry, increased fire danger is expected across western North Carolina. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn today. If you do burn, use extreme caution, as fires can spread rapidly under these conditions.
