* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Kerr County in south central Texas... Kinney County in south central Texas... Western Uvalde County in south central Texas... Edwards County in south central Texas... Southeastern Val Verde County in south central Texas... Real County in south central Texas...

* Until 1030 PM CDT.

* At 931 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 22 miles southeast of Sonora to 6 miles southeast of Carta Valley to 7 miles southwest of Amistad Village, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Del Rio, Brackettville, Rocksprings, Leakey, Spofford, Loma Alta, Camp Wood, Lake View, Laguna, Tuff, Concan, Anacacho, Reagan Wells, Alamo Village, Carta Valley, Cienegas Terrace, Black Brush Point, Amanda, Garner State Park, and Val Verde Park.

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. If on or near Lake Amistad, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
