1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1756) Wilson Way and Lindsay Street, Park District
The victims were driving in the area when they got into a road rage incident with the suspect. The suspect intentionally drove her vehicle into the victim's vehicle. When both cars stopped, the suspect hit the victim with an object. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury. Responding officers arrested the suspect
without incident. ARRESTED: Myrtis Buttram, 57, for assault with a deadly weapon.
2. Homicide (0219) 1600 Block of South Airport Way, Seaport District
The male victim, 36, was in the listed area when he was involved in an argument with the suspect. The suspect shot him. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Detectives responded and assumed the investigation.
3. Burglary, Vandalism and Resisting Arrest (0318) 1500 Block of East Fremont Street, Park District
Officers responded to a business in the listed area on a report of a suspect breaking the windows and entering. Upon the officers’ arrival, the suspect was still inside and refused the officers’ commands to surrender. As officers attempted to arrest him, he resisted arrest. Officers eventually took the suspect into
custody after a brief struggle. ARRESTED: Emanuel Martinez, 41, for resisting arrest, burglary, and vandalism.
