SVPD K9 Apprehends Warrant Suspect 
On October 26, 2025, at approximately 11:45 P.M. a Simi Valley Police Officer conducted a pedestrian stop on a man believed to be a wanted felony suspect. The individual initially provided a false name but was later identified as 53 yr. old Tim Rau from Lynwood. When the officer attempted to detain Rau, he fled on foot.
The officer pursued and tackled the suspect; however, the officer sustained a shoulder injury during the struggle and was unable to continue. A K9 Officer who had just arrived on scene deployed his police K9 to assist in taking Rau into custody.
Rau was transported to Ventura County Main Jail and booked for his felony warrant and 69 PC. The injured officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment to his shoulder.
