ATTENTION RESIDENTS:
The Cedar Grove Water Department will be conducting Fall Fire Hydrant Flushing beginning on Monday, October 27th and continuing on Tuesday, October 28th and potentially Wednesday, October 29th.
Flushing will begin in the South End and proceed north. Flushing will be done between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.
Because it is difficult to pinpoint the exact neighborhood where flushing will occur at any given time, residents are advised to bathe before 7:00 pm and not do laundry for twenty-four (24) hours after their neighborhood hydrants have been flushed as clothing may be discolored.
Discolored water may be expected immediately after the hydrant flushing. The discolored water is not harmful, and residents should briefly run their faucets to remove any discoloration.
