DETAILS:
On Monday, October 27, 2025 at 3:42 pm, the WWPD Communications center detailed the West Windsor Division of Fire and Emergency Services, the Patrol Division, and Traffic Unit to a serious motor vehicle accident involving five (5) vehicles on Old Trenton Rd. at the intersection of Colt Circle with possible entrapment.
The initiral investigation revealed the following: Vehicle # 1 was traveling north on Old Trenton Rd. approaching the intersection of Colt Circle while Vehicles 2, 3 and 5 were all stopped in traffic. Driver # 1 did not realize traffic was stopped until the last moment and impacted the rear passenger side of Vehicle #2. Vehicle # 1 then made contact with the rear of Vehicle # 3 forcing that vehicle into the south bound lane of travel where it sideswiped Vehicle # 4. Vehicle # 1 continued forward and made slight contact with Vehicle # 5 before coming to a final rest.
Driver # 1 was entrapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center at Fuld where he was treated for his injuries and was listed in serious but stable condition at the time of this report. Driver # 3 and Driver # 4 were transported to the Penn Medicine Medical Center at Princeton for treatment of minor injuries.
