Janesville Police Department Announces School Resource Officer Promotions 
The Janesville Police Department announces the promotions of School Resource Officer Corey J. Matulle and Carmen M. Roche.
The City of Janesville Police and Fire Commission approved the promotions of Officer Corey J. Matulle and Carmen M. Roche to the rank of School Resource Officers, and they were honored in a promotion ceremony at City Hall on October 29, 2025.
School Resource Officer Matulle has been with the Janesville Police Department for fourteen years. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from UW-Whitewater. His experience includes roles such as Patrol Officer, SWAT team member, Crisis Intervention Team member, Field Training Officer, and Mobile Field Force member. Officer Matulle will be assigned to Franklin Middle School.
School Resource Officer Roche has worked for the Janesville Police Department for twelve years. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Bryant and Stratton College. Her experience includes roles such as Patrol Officer, ESSER School Police Officer, member of the Chronic Nuisance Team, Crisis Negotiator, Honor Guard, Mobile Field Force, Domestic Violence Intervention Team, Latino Advisory Committee, and an Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Instructor. Officer Roche will be assigned to Parker High School.
