Officers Recover Two Firearms After a Shooting
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred just after 8:00 p.m. on October 27, 2025, in the 1400 block of 18th Avenue. Officers responded to the area to investigate reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located evidence of a shooting but did not locate any victims. Patrol officers obtained surveillance footage that captured the incident and the vehicle involved.
Approximately an hour and a half later, officers located two individuals in the suspect vehicle in the 1400 block of 13th Avenue. Officers recovered two unregistered firearms from the vehicle and arrested one of the individuals in connection with the shooting.
