The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for our area as a strong frontal system is expected to bring a period of rain and gusty winds to the region this afternoon through tomorrow. Widespread rainfall is expected, with the potential for pockets of heavy rain. The NWS has issued a coastal flood advisory, please refer to their website or the FEMA app for specific details and updates. High tide will occur around 5:53 pm, which could influence how this rainfall is tolerated.
Our DPW crews are actively clearing our storm drains and picking up leaves in preparation for this weather event, and all departments are monitoring the situation. If you need emergency assistance during the weather event, please call the Pelham Manor Police Desk at 914-738-1000 or 911 from a landline phone. If necessary, move your vehicle to higher elevation and put your emergency break on.  As always, our Police and Fire Departments are prepared to respond.
Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items, including decorations. If you lose power, notice must be given directly to ConEdison. You may report and monitor power outages through their mobile app, online, or by phone 1-800-752-6633. If you see downed electrical wires, do not go near them. Assume all downed wires are electrified. Report any downed wires to ConEdison.
