Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a burglary incident.
On October 27, at approximately 7:26 a.m., members of the Special Operations Division responded to the 200 block of West 14th Street, in reference to a burglary that had occurred. Through the course of their investigation, police identified 42-year-old Richard Gibson as a suspect. On October 28, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Gibson was located in the area of East 9th and Kirkwood Streets, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Gibson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree)
- Theft Under $1,500
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
