Grove Street between 18th Street in Jersey City and Observer Highway has been temporarily closed until further notice. Southwest Hoboken is experiencing significant traffic congestion, and drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes to the north if traveling.
Residents are reminded to avoid traveling and stay off the roads if possible. Stalled vehicles can impede emergency response times.
The City has temporarily suspended the Red, Blue, and Green Hop shuttle bus service due to the storm.
The Hoboken Office of Emergency Management reminds residents to avoid flood-prone areas. Intense rainfall of greater than 0.8 inch per hour could result in flooding in low-lying areas, and more than 1.5 inches of rain just fell.
