Fairfield Police Investigating Suspected Murder-Suicide 
This morning, November 1, at around 3:03 am, Fairfield Police officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 3700 block of Lyon Road for a welfare check, after multiple callers reported hearing gunshots.
Upon arriving at the apartment, officers unfortunately discovered two people, a man and woman, deceased.
Investigations responded and took over the case. Preliminary findings suggest this may have been an apparent murder-suicide; however the investigation remains ongoing with the official cause of death to be determined.
Detectives are actively investigating and working to confirm the circumstances leading up to the incident. As such, additional information is not available at this time, but there is no active threat to the community.
