The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered man, Wilbur Allen Satchwill, age 78, of Cumberland, Tennessee.

Mr. Satchwill is vacationing on Hilton Head Island and was reported missing after he left a residence on Egret Point Way in Shipyard at approximately 7:15 p.m. this evening, November 1, 2025.

There is concern for his safety and wellbeing, as Mr. Satchwill has been diagnosed with dementia.

The Sheriff’s Office Bloodhound Tracking Team and Drone Unit are currently on scene actively searching the area for Mr. Satchwill.

Mr. Satchwill is described as:
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 160 lbs
Clothing: Grey flannel shirt, black jogging pants, and black shoes

Anyone who may have seen Mr. Satchwill or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
