Weather Advisory from the Mill Valley Police Department

Heads-up Mill Valley residents, the National Weather Service has issued two overlapping advisories for our area, and we’re asking everyone to stay alert and prepared.

🌬 Wind Advisory
  • In effect from 10 PM Tuesday through 4 PM Wednesday. forecast.weather.gov+1
  • South winds of 25-35 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph expected; isolated gusts to 55 mph possible along North Bay coastal areas and ridgetops. forecast.weather.gov+1
  • Potential impacts: unsecured objects may blow around, tree limbs could fall, and power outages are possible. forecast.weather.gov+1

🌊 Coastal Flood Advisory

What we recommend you do now:
  • Secure or bring inside any loose outdoor items (e.g., patio furniture, trash bins, garden decor).
  • Avoid driving in flooded or low-lying areas near the bayshore — do not drive through standing water of unknown depth.
  • Allow extra time for travel, and plan alternate routes if road closures might occur.
  • Monitor local news, alerts, and social media for updates — conditions may change quickly.

📍 Please stay safe and alert.

If you see a hazard (like a downed tree limb or a flooded roadway), please report it to our non-emergency line (415-389-4100).
