Weather Advisory from the Mill Valley Police Department 
Heads-up Mill Valley residents, the National Weather Service has issued two overlapping advisories for our area, and we’re asking everyone to stay alert and prepared.
- In effect from 10 PM Tuesday through 4 PM Wednesday. forecast.weather.gov+1
- South winds of 25-35 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph expected; isolated gusts to 55 mph possible along North Bay coastal areas and ridgetops. forecast.weather.gov+1
- Potential impacts: unsecured objects may blow around, tree limbs could fall, and power outages are possible. forecast.weather.gov+1
- In effect from 8 AM Tuesday through 2 PM Saturday. forecast.weather.gov
- Up to 1.2 ft of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying shoreline and tidal waterway areas. forecast.weather.gov
- Impacts: flooding of lots, parks and roads; isolated road closures may occur. forecast.weather.gov
- Secure or bring inside any loose outdoor items (e.g., patio furniture, trash bins, garden decor).
- Avoid driving in flooded or low-lying areas near the bayshore — do not drive through standing water of unknown depth.
- Allow extra time for travel, and plan alternate routes if road closures might occur.
- Monitor local news, alerts, and social media for updates — conditions may change quickly.
