Traffic Stop Leads to the Arrest of a Felon in Possession of Narcotics and Ammunition
DATE/TIME: Saturday, November 1, 2025, at approximately 8:02 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 30305(A)(1)- Felon in Possesion of Unlawful Ammunition
H&S 11379 - Transportation of Controlled Substance for Sales
LOCATION: D Street and Downey Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Jake Jacques, 31-Years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
Ruby Brown, 29-Years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 1, 2025, at approximately 8:02 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a traffic stop near D Street and Downey Street for vehicle code violations.
During the traffic stop, deputies contacted passenger, Jake Jacques who was found to be on felony probation, and passenger Ruby Brown. During the investigation, deputies located drug paraphernalia in plain view, ammunition and a gun case with a gun holster. Deputies then served a search warrant of their residence which led to the seizure of illegal narcotics, packaging materials and various drug paraphernalia.
Jake Jacques was subsequently arrested for PC 30305(A)(1)- Felon in Possesion of Unlawful Ammunition and H&S 11379 - Transportation of Controlled Substance for Sales.
Jacques was transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
Ruby Brown was subsequently arrested for H&S 11379 - Transportation of Controlled Substance for Sales and three outstanding warrants for miscellaneous drug charges and traffic violations.
Brown was transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a combined bail amount of $265,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
