The Hillsborough Police Department remains committed to providing timely public safety information and maintaining transparency with our community. Below is a summary of HPD activity and crime data for October 2025.
Response Times
HPD responded to 393 trackable calls for service in October:
• Average response time: 7 minutes, 8 seconds
• Priority 1 emergencies: 2 minutes, 31 seconds (4 incidents)
Patrol Activity
In total, HPD handled 2,405 calls and incidents, including:
• 644 resident-initiated calls
• 1,761 officer-initiated incidents
• 7 arrests
• 57 citations issued
Crime Summary – October
• 1 residential burglary
• 0 other burglaries
Year-to-Date Burglary Totals
• 12 residential burglaries
• 6 other burglaries (commercial, vehicle, or construction sites)
Significant Cases
• HPD continues to investigate the attempted murder of an officer from February 22nd.
• October 1: Search warrant served in Pacifica related to a reported sexual assault case. Digital evidence seized and under review.
• October 17: Road-rage incident led to DUI arrest. Driver located passed out after crashing; BAC was three times the legal limit.
• October 29: Residential burglary on Santa Felicia Court; suspects fled. Patrol collected evidence and canvassed the area. Investigations is developing leads and pursuing a geofence warrant to identify the offenders.
