Early Morning Stabbing Results in Arrest 
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at approximately 2:04 AM, the Petaluma Police Department Dispatch Center received a call reporting a disturbance in the 400 block of Lindberg Circle. While dispatchers were speaking with the male reporting party, he disclosed that he had been stabbed in the neck.
Personnel from the Petaluma Police Department and Petaluma Fire Department responded to the residence. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject suffering from a non-life-threatening injury to his neck. A female subject, identified as Catherine Vasquez (28-year-old, San Francisco resident), was also contacted at the scene.
Through the investigation, officers determined that Vasquez had stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife following an argument. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injury.
Based on the investigation, officers determined there was probable cause to arrest Vasquez for the following offenses:
- 273.5(a) PC – Domestic Violence
- 245(a)(1) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- 664/187(a) PC – Attempted Murder
