We discourage Open Burning today regardless of rather a burn ban is issued or not including the use of burn barrels.
Abnormally dry conditions continue over portions of western North Carolina. The combination of low relative humidity dropping into the 30 to 35 percent range with gusty west to southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn. Use extreme caution since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
