Smoke Advisory – East Marion Area
Marion Fire Department, McDowell Emergency Management, and McDowell Fire Marshal’s Office are currently on scene at JC Property Professionals, 1767 E. Court Street in Marion, in reference to a large outside fire involving vegetative debris.
The fire is actively monitored by fire officials to ensure public safety. JC Property staff are using heavy equipment to manage and contain the burn on site. Smoke and visible flames may continue for several days as the debris is reduced.
We encourage residents to avoid the immediate area if possible and to use caution while driving nearby due to reduced visibility from smoke.
Marion Fire Department and McDowell Emergency Services will continue to monitor the situation to ensure safety. At this time, there is no known danger to the public, and the fire remains contained.
