INCIDENT: PC 245(A)(2) Assault with a Firearm
LOCATION: 150000 Block of Paseo Street, Big River, CA
SUSPECT(S): Drew Spier, 65 Years Old, Resident of Big River, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a report of a man being threatened with a firearm near the above mentioned address. The victim reported that the suspect, identified as Drew Spier, pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him.
Deputies arrived on scene and took Spier into custody without incident. A search warrant was subsequently obtained for Spier's property. During the search, deputies located a BB gun, matching the description provided by the victim. Through the course of the investigation, deputies determined that Spier pointed the BB gun at the victim.
Spier was subsequently arrested on the above mentioned charges and transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking. Spier remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $340,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
