Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.
On November 4, at approximately 9:47 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 1400 block of Northeast Boulevard when they observed a male subject illegally operating a motorized scooter. Officers attempted to make contact with the individual, at which time he fled on foot. Following a brief pursuit, police took 18-year-old Hasaan Clark into custody without further incident. Officers recovered a .40 caliber handgun, and 4 grams of crack cocaine.
Clark has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Hindering Prosecution
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Illegal Operation of a Motorized Scooter
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $25,100 cash-only bail.
