ONE INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH 
Sheriff Clint Roach, reports that on November 7, 2025, at approximately 1806 hours, Deputies with the Cass County Sheriff’s office were called to investigate a car versus pedestrian crash at the intersection of Barron Lake Rd and Cliffield Ct, in Howard Township, Cass County Michigan.
Investigation showed that Joanne Haas (55 yrs old of Cassopolis, MI) was traveling North bound on Barron Lake Rd when her vehicle struck Donald Welsh (78yrs of Niles, MI) who was walking across Barron Lake Rd from Cliffield Ct. Welsh was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Assisting in this crash was MSP, Howard Township Fire, and SMCAS.
The crash remains under investigation.
