Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in October, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division conducted an investigation into 37-year-old Darnell Nuriddin for illegal drug sales. On November 6, officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 3400 block of Thatcher Street and took Nuriddin into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant in the 500 block of East 35th Street and recovered 325.5 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Nuriddin has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $120,500 cash-only bail.
