INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Twentynine Palms Hwy at Mohawlk Trail, Town of Yucca Valley
INVOLVED PARTY: 60-year-old male, resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY:
On Monday, November 10, 2025, at approximately 12:14 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station responded to a report of a single-vehicle traffic collision. The collision occurred at the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Mohawk Trail in the Town of Yucca Valley.
According to eyewitness accounts, the vehicle was observed swerving as it traveled eastbound on Twentynine Palms Highway. For unknown reasons, the driver drove over the center median as the vehicle approached the intersection. The vehicle continued in a northeasterly direction, crossing the westbound lanes of Twentynine Palms Highway, subsequently jumping the curb, and striking a pole located on the north side of the highway. The vehicle came to rest in the number two westbound lane of Twentynine Palms Highway.
Upon arrival, deputies located the critically injured driver, and personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department administered life-saving measures (CPR). The driver was transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
