Wilmington Police arrest male juvenile in connection to June shooting incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile in connection to a June shooting incident following an investigation.
On June 1, at approximately 9:18 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1300 block of Linden Street in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, police located a 23-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The case was assigned to Detective Jessica Gledhill of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of her investigation, Detective Gledhill identified a 16-year-old male juvenile as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. On November 7, the 16-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody without incident.
The 16-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Assault (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Robbery (Second Degree)
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
