Narrative:

On July 3, 2025, the East County Investigations Property Crimes Unit learned of a victim who while working in an office building in Thousand Oaks was targeted by a burglary suspect.  The victim’s wallet was stolen, and her credit cards were later used in Los Angeles County.

On 10/10/2025 and 10/13/2025, the same suspect returned to various medical offices in Thousand Oaks and committed similar crimes where he entered medical offices during hours of business and stole wallets from employee’s purses / workbags.  On those dates the victim’s credit cards were used to unlawfully obtain goods in Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Camarillo, and Simi Valley.

On 11/06/2025, the suspect returned to the city of Thousand Oaks and stole a victim’s wallet as the victim was performing a procedure at a medical office in 1000 block of Newbury Road.  The suspect then used the victim’s credit card to obtain goods at a local department store.

Thousand Oaks property crimes detectives were alerted to the theft and responded to the area of the crime and nearby stores.  Detectives observed the suspect, Anthony Fierro, as he exited a department store with the unlawfully obtained goods and the victim’s credit cards in his possession.  Detectives took Fierro into custody without incident.

On 11/06/2025, Fierro was booked into the East Valley Jail for PC 459 – Felony burglary, and PC 530.5 – Felony Identity Theft.  On 11/07/2025, Detectives supplementally booked the suspect for three additional counts of PC 459 – Felony burglary, and three additional counts of PC 530.5 – Felony Identity Theft. Fierro remains in custody with his bail set at $400,000.

The city of Thousand Oaks is an extremely safe community.  However, this sense of safety is occasionally exploited by the criminal element.  The Thousand Oaks Police Department would like to remind citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious people and vehicles by promptly calling 911 or our non-emergency line of (805) 654-9511. If you see something, say something.

The East County Investigations Property Crimes Unit continues to combat property crimes through keeping the community informed of current crime trends while aggressively pursuing and arresting those that chose to do us harm.
