New York City Emergency Management has issued a cold weather alert for low temperatures and freezing conditions into this evening. Temperatures are expected to range from the 20s to 30 degrees tonight. New Yorkers are asked to exercise caution during this period of cold weather and check on their neighbors, friends, and relatives, especially the elderly and those with disabilities and access and functional needs. Should you see a homeless individual out in the cold, please call 311 and an outreach team will be dispatched to offer assistance.
