South Brunswick Citizen Police Academy Graduates

Chief Raymond Hayducka recently presided over the graduation ceremony for the 2025 South Brunswick Citizen Police Academy. The nine-week program provided participants with instruction in a variety of law enforcement subjects, including motor vehicle and criminal law, use of force, crime scene processing, de-escalation, and motor vehicle stop procedures. The academy concluded with a class of hands-on scenarios, where students practiced simulated traffic stops, dispute responses, and other realistic situations. Classes were held one evening each week at the South Brunswick Police Training Center.

Chief Hayducka explained, “This program gives residents an inside look at how policing works in South Brunswick. Their dedication and willingness to learn builds stronger connections with our department and enhances our community partnership.”

Officer Ryan Bartunek of the Community Policing Division added, “Each session deepens the connection between participants and the department. The more we share about how we serve, the stronger our relationship with the community becomes.”
