Narrative:
During the morning hours of November 10th, 2025, deputies from the Thousand Oaks Police Station responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a sober living home located in the 1900 block of East Hillcrest Drive. The reporting party, who was also the victim, identified the suspect as Alyssa Wilson, a resident of the sober living home. The stolen vehicle was identified as a gray 2004 Toyota Sienna minivan.
Deputies from both the Thousand Oaks and Moorpark Police Stations were able to track the vehicle to the intersection of Cochran Street and First Street in the City of Simi Valley. Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic enforcement stop, but the vehicle immediately fled eastbound toward Erringer Road. The suspect then entered the 118 Freeway eastbound from Erringer Road, reaching speeds of up to 90 miles per hour.
The pursuit quickly moved into Los Angeles County, where Ventura County Sheriff’s Office deputies continued to follow the suspect. Upon entering the southbound 405 Freeway, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office handed over the pursuit to officers from the California Highway Patrol, who assumed command of the pursuit.
The pursuit continued through Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties and was terminated by the CHP in the immediate area of the California-Mexico border.
On November 11th, 2025, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the CHP San Diego Office that the suspect in the pursuit, Alyssa Wilson, had reentered the United States and turned herself in. Detectives from the East County Investigations Bureau responded to the CHP San Diego Office and took custody of Wilson.
Wilson was booked into the Ventura County Jail for charges of VC 10851(a) - Felony Unlawful Taking of a Vehicle, and VC 2800.2 - Felony Evading of a Peace Officer with Reckless Disregard for Public Safety. Wilson remains in custody with her bail set at $50,000. Wilson is scheduled for arraignment on November 13th, 2025, at 1:30 PM.
