INCIDENT: Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Airway Avenue & Primrose Drive, Town of Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): Unknown
VICTIM(S): 55-year-old female resident of Yucca Valley, California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, November 6, 2025, at approximately 2:02 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station, responded to a report of a hit-and-run traffic collision at the intersection of Airway Avenue and Primrose Drive, in the Town of Yucca Valley. The collision involved a motor vehicle and an adult female operating an electric wheelchair.
Through investigation, deputies discovered an unidentified vehicle traveling southbound on Airway Avenue approaching Primrose Drive, collided with a female operating an electric wheelchair across Airway Avenue. The female and her dog were ejected from the electric wheelchair as a result of the collision. The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene in the vehicle and was seen traveling south on Airway Avenue toward Yucca Trail.
Paramedics responded and transported the victim to Desert Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
