Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. requests the public’s help identifying the female suspect pictured below, who shoplifted baby clothes valued at $248 from an outlet store on November 7, 2025.
At approximately 4:50 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video removing tags, placing the merchandise into a bag, and leaving the Gap Factory in the 100 block of Market Street. Described as a Black female, the suspect wore a black jacket, grey sweatpants, a grey hoodie, and grey and white sneakers. She also had a bushy ponytail hairstyle and was carrying a brown pocketbook.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
