A strong atmospheric river system is expected to land in La Habra Heights later this evening and continue through Sunday, bringing heavy rain, isolated thunderstorms, and the potential for flash flooding across the region. The storm is expected to produce periods of intense rainfall that could cause flooded roadways, reduced visibility, and hazardous driving conditions. Residents are urged to stay alert and avoid travel during peak downpour.

Before tonight's storm, homeowners are advised to secure outdoor items, clear storm drains, and keep emergency supplies on hand. While conditions are expected to gradually improve by late Sunday, we may still experience lingering showers and cooler temperatures into early next week. 

Sand bags are available at the right-hand side of the entrance doors in front of City Hall. Limit of 10 sandbags per resident. In addition, sand is available at the lower lot of the park including the new sandbag fillers, but please bring your shovel to self fill.
