Deputy Tre Spearman with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 32-year-old Kendra Nicole Braswell of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine. She was denied bond due to being out on pretrial release.
On November 10, Deputy Spearman initiated a stop on a vehicle near Sugar Hill Rd. for traffic violations.
Braswell was the driver and was operating the vehicle with no license and a fictitious tag displayed.
A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up loaded (and empty) syringes with methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
The Marion Police Department assisted with the incident.
