Arrest Made Following Felony Vandalism Investigation on La Selva Circle

After a verbal altercation, an adult male allegedly shattered the rear window of a victim’s vehicle totaling $2500.00 in damages.
 
San Mateo, CA – On November 13, 2025, at 2:54 p.m., San Mateo Police Department Officers investigated a report of an intoxicated male adult who had committed vandalism to a vehicle on the 3000 block of La Selva Circle.
 
Officers arrived and contacted the victim, observing the rear window of the victim’s vehicle to be shattered with a vehicle brake rotor found inside, near the damaged area. Upon further investigation, officers identified Walter Pirircanel as the suspect. Pirircanel was the victim’s roommate and was observed by officers to be intoxicated and under the influence of an alcoholic beverage while within his residence. Based on the probable cause established, Pirircanel was placed under arrest for felony vandalism. Pirircanel was transported to the San Mateo County Jail where he was booked for his charge.
