Buncombe Issues Open Burning Ban 
Open Burn Ban
An open burn ban is in effect starting Nov. 17 until conditions improve. Low humidity and gusty winds are creating extreme fire danger.
The ban covers all open burning, including yard waste, debris, and land-clearing burns.
Remember, before burning, call the Open Burning Hotline at 828-250-6767 to see if burning is allowed that day.
Burning in the current conditions places everyone at Risk.
Instructions:
Please do not burn outdoors. Report anyone you witness burning.
