...RAIN AND SNOW MAY TURN TO HEAVY SNOW IN A NARROW BAND OVERNIGHT AND ACCUMULATE QUICKLY FOR THE TUESDAY MORNING COMMUTE... .Rain will develop across southern Minnesota early this evening, then turn to a mix of rain and snow overnight. Precipitation may turn to all snow at times and become heavy. Quick accumulations of a few inches are possible in time for the Tuesday morning commute along a line from Canby and Redwood Falls, to the southern Twin Cities metro, to just south of Eau Claire. Forecast confidence remains low and will depend on surface temperatures. A degree variation one way or the other may lead to significant forecast changes. Keep updated on the latest forecasts.
